the new syllabus by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is implemented from 2017-18,
we endeavour to bring out this textbook Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry-I. Although,
there are plethora of textbooks by many Indian and foreign authors on this subject, this book is
unique in its style and presentation.
Special
emphasis has been given to explain the basic principles and concepts underlying
chemical reactions, stress is given on structures and reactions of organic
compounds. However the wide scope of the subject necessitated restrictions to
keep the size of the book within reasonable limits.
